- Manage overall palm oil mill operation (management, organizing, controlling, and planning), including production, quality control, maintenance, environmental, sustainability and safety.
- To ensure the operation are running smoothly, efficiently, cost effectively and production target being achieved and constantly monitored. (Throughput, OER & KER rates, Shell Etraction Rate (SER), palm product losses, palm product quality, operational cost, budget management, other KPI criteria, etc).
- To ensure efficient maintenance schedule (machinery downtime, spare inventories, revises production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operation issues, ensure optimum utilization of equipment and workforce).
- Identify areas for system and process improvements and implement changes to improve overall milling efficiency and utilisation and cost control and savings for the overall palm oil milling operation.
- Able to formulate budgets and work programs, labour management and perform monthly cost analysis on the performance of the mill.
- Responsible for carrying out factory procedures and standards in accordance with work principles and standards for sustainable Palm Oil certification (MSPO) and Ensure maintenance of MSPO and MSPO supply chain Certification and governance.
- Responsible for deliverance of plant set KPIs and assisting in achieving the mill teams KPIs.
- Ensure compliance to regulatory, statutory, and legislative requirements (company policy & standard operating procedure, health, safety & environment standards, waste management, all the government relevant agency, union representative etc.) - DOSH, DOE, MPOB, NUPW and AMESU etc.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
Job Specifications:
- Preferably with a recognized Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Possess a minimum 2nd Grade Steam Engineers’ certificate of Competency issued by JKKP (DOSH).
- Competent Person in Palm Oil Mill Effluent (CePPOME), Authorized Gas Tester (AGT) or Authorized Entrance and Standby Person (AESP) will be an advantage and will be consideration in determining the salary package.
- A minimum of 12 years working experience in palm oil milling in total, minimum 2 years as mill manager and minimum 5 years as Senior Assisting manager also welcome to apply.
- Computer literate (well verse with excel and power point presentation).
- Excellent leadership, good interpersonal, communication skills. observation, analytical thinking, attention to details, problem solving and teamwork ability to lead a team in maintenance, operation, staff and improvement of mill efficiency and operations.
